Barrowland Ballet are looking for a professional female dancer with strong contemporary dance technique in their 20’s or 30’s to fill a role in their dance film being made this January. The dance artist must be able to learn material efficiently and be comfortable in devising. The dance film is performed by 6 female dancers ranging from 6 years to 86 years and is a surreal, comic take on life over a cup of tea.
Due to unforeseen circumstances one of the dancers is unable to fulfil their role and so we are looking to re-cast this Friday 10th Janury. Rehearsal and filming will take place in Glasgow from Sat 11th til 29th January. Please send a note of interest and a CV and a recent video link by 6pm on 9th January to natasha@barrowlandballet.wpcomstaging.com. The fee is for 2.5 weeks of work.
Potential dancers will be invited to a casting on Friday 10th with Natasha Gilmore and the film director Andrew Cumming.
