We’re thrilled to announce that we’re in receipt of funding from the British Council’s International Collaboration Grant. This funding will see us collaborate with Atta Festival, Turkey in the creation of a new sensory production with and for young people with complex needs.
This collaboration will see us work with not one but two casts- one local cast in Scotland to tour nationally, and one Turkish cast who will perform the new show in Turkey. This April, Artistic Director, Natasha Gilmore, had a brilliant trip to Istanbul to meet with Atta’s Festival Director, Hakan Silahsızoğlu, and hold auditions for our Turkish cast.
We look forward to welcoming them to Scotland this autumn where they’ll work with our Poggle cast to learn the original show, and together, create an adaptation with and for young people with complex needs. During this collaboration we look forward to sharing and developing skills, knowledge and experience, and together creating a dance-theatre production with the essential wrap around provision to reduce barriers for this underserved audience.
