Cancelled- Learning to Fly and Into The Blue spring tour /

Today would have marked one month until the premiere of our new shows Learning to Fly and Into the Blue, we’ve had so much fun creating them. Over the past year, our dedicated creative team have been creating and moulding these shows into the funny, joyful, thought-provoking and poignant productions they are today and we were excited to share them with audiences across Scotland this April and May.

It’s with a heavy heart that we need to put these productions on pause and to postpone the upcoming spring tour, including our dates at this year’s Edinburgh International Children’s Festival where Learning to Fly was to be this year’s Festival commission.

Our artistic director Natasha Gilmore said, “I’m so disappointed that we’re unable to share our new work with you at this time. I would like to thank Imaginate, Platform, The Work Room, Tramway and the touring venues for all their support to date, and hope that we will have the chance to bring the work to audiences in Scotland in the future. I would also like to thank my co-creator Robert Alan Evans, the dancers Katie Armstrong, Molly Danter and Ilona Gumowska, the creative team Davey Anderson, Alison Brown, Alberto Santos Bellido and Fred Pommerehn and Craig Fleming our brilliant production manager, who have worked so hard on the project over the past year.”

In agreement with the clear guidance from Creative Scotland, we are committed to honouring all contracts with artists and freelance team.

If you have already purchased tickets for a venue on tour, please wait for the venue to contact you directly. As most of these venues are an arts charity, please consider donating the ticket amount to the theatre as a charitable gift.

We thank you for your understanding and support.
