The Guardian’s choice as Best Dance of 2011 at the Edinburgh Fringe, A Conversation with Carmel is on tour again across Scotland, this time with a new guest at the party. Inigo Bazie, 18 months old will be joining the original cast and making his debut performance alongside dance icon Diana Payne-Myers. Inigo doesn’t appear to be displaying any nerves at the moment but would appreciate a large round of applause when you come to the show. Carmel is turning 80. Share in her stories, secrets and family relationships in this visionary piece of dance, theatre and film inspired by the chaos of family gatherings. Featuring Diana Payne-Myers (DV8); Matthew Hawkins (Matthew Hawkins Dance, Royal Ballet) and an ensemble cast drawn from across the local community.
If we are performing in your area and you are interested in being part of the community cast check out the tour details and contact your venue. Otherwise we hope to see you in the audience and we’ll make sure Inigo gives you a wave.
‘heartwarming and intimate…. An enchanting original score…. This is a touching and accomplished piece about the nature of family life and is by turns poignant and joyous’.****
