An exciting opportunity to join Barrowland Ballet, one of Scotland’s leading contemporary dance companies, as Executive Producer.

Barrowland Ballet is one of Scotland’s most exciting and successful contemporary dance companies touring nationally and internationally. Based in Glasgow, the company has been in receipt of regular funding from Creative Scotland since 2015 and over the past few years have toured their work to six continents. The company is built around the artistic work of choreographer Natasha Gilmore. The work’s themes are delivered with wit and humour, and the insightful observations of human behaviour are rooted in her personal stories.

Recent productions include Tiger, Wolves, Little Red (7+), Whiteout, Poggle (6 months to 4 years), and The River. Alongside the company’s professional work, they produce high quality participatory performance projects; the two are interdependent with one inspiring the other. The company lead a free intergenerational company in Glasgow for ages 7 to 90 years old in partnership with Tramway.

Salary: £34,000 full-time, permanent contract

Main Purpose of the job 
To lead, manage, influence and take responsibility for the creation and delivery of the overall strategy for producing new work, touring new and existing work, the participatory programme, fundraising and finances for the company; to build on Barrowland Ballet’s reputation nationally and internationally.
