Be here with me

Be here with me

Platform Theatre in Easterhouse is pure dead brilliant!

As well as a theatre, the mostly open plan building has a swimming pool, library, dance studio, cafe/bar (I canʼt get enough of their BBQ chicken wraps), recording studio and community college.  This week Barrowland Ballet are in residence for our technical production rehearsals in preparation for the premier here on the 13th of September! Lights…additional technical requirements…final honing of the piece…and ACTION!

An International Team

Today we welcomed back Fred Pommerehn, our set and lighting designer from USA/Berlin, and Sarah Yelland our stage manager from Lancashire. Team Tiger are an international bunch with Scotland, England, Wales, Taiwan, Australia, USA and Germany all represented.

This week, I’m looking forward to being in the performance space and getting used to having the audience ʻin the roundʼ. For us, stage directions have been replaced by referencing specific parts of the set or room because the audience will be on all four sides.  This has required some mathematics to navigate through in rehearsal at times. It will be an up-close and intimate live experience, where the audience can see the show and each other.
