Dance Audition for female dancers, aged 25+ of black heritage /

We are looking for strong and versatile female dancers of black heritage for our upcoming contemporary dance theatre production WhiteoutCandidates should be confident performers with a strong background in contemporary technique, aged 25+ years. They must be comfortable in a devised process.  Working with choreographer Natasha Gilmore the work will be built through improvisation and exploration.

Auditions are by invitation only and will be held on Sunday 28 September 2014, in London from 10am to 5pm.

Whiteout is a new touring piece that will be researched in January 2015 and devised and toured spring 2015.  Responding to personal stories and her own experiences as the mother of bi-racial white British / black African children, acclaimed choreographer Natasha Gilmore gives resonance to the complexities of inter-racial relationships.

Research period: Monday 5th to Saturday 10th January 2015 (funding confirmed)
Rate: £450 per week pro rata
Work will be based in Glasgow, return travel from within the UK & accommodation will be paid for research period.

Rehearsal and production period: 16th March to 1st May 2015 (funding dependent)
Premiering 1st May, touring: 4th May to 7th June (three weeks within this time period)
Rate: £450 per week, rehearsal and production will be take place in Glasgow with touring across Scotland.
