Natasha Gilmore nominated for Assitej Award for Excellence /

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Natasha Gilmore is the UK nomination for the Assitej Award for Excellence for her pieces Poggle, Little RedTiger Tale and Whiteout. The ASSITEJ Award for Artistic Excellence/Honorary Presidents’ Award is given every three years for noteworthy achievement in the field of theater for children and young people, and is the most prestigious award given by the organisation.

She is one of only 15 nominated international artists:

Armenia – Theatre for Changes, Australia – Andrew Wright, Belgium – Johan de Smet, China – Yin Xiaodong, Finland – Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth’s Winter Circus, India – Krishnakumar Balasubramanian, Iran – Mohammad Boroumand, Ireland – Mike Kenny, Namibia – Kapenangutjiua Vetira, Norway – Dr. Lise Hovik, Palestine – Al-Harah Theatre, Russia – Nadezhda Alexeeva, Scotland – Natasha Gilmore, Sri Lanka – Mohamed Gause Mohamed Safeer, and Sweden – Mattias Andersson.

Huge congratulations for the nomination Natasha, we’ll have our fingers crossed for the announcement of the awardees during the Award Ceremony at the 19th ASSITEJ World Congress in Cape Town this May.
