With an increase in national and international touring we are looking for a permanent Production Manager, 3 days a week, to join the Barrowland Ballet team. Increasing to full-time work when touring.

Come and join the Barrowland Ballet team. We are one of Scotland’s most exciting and successful contemporary dance companies touring nationally and internationally. With an increase in touring we are looking for a permanent Production Manager. The permanent contract would be for a core three days a week throughout the year when not on tour, taking it to paid full time hours when touring nationally and internationally. There is flexibility to accommodate other work outside this contract as long as core hours and touring requirements are met.

Barrowland Ballet is built around the artistic work of choreographer Natasha Gilmore. The work’s themes are delivered with wit and humour, and the insightful observations of human behaviour are rooted in her personal stories. Alongside the company’s professional work, they produce high quality participatory performance projects; the two are interdependent with one inspiring the other. Recent productions include Wolves, Little Red (7+), Whiteout, Poggle (6 months to 4 years), and The River.

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of Barrowland Ballet’s participatory performance projects and productions for touring. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Co-ordinating and managing the pre-production and production process
• Ensuring the smooth running of touring productions
• Managing the companies equipment and facilities
• Implementing Health and Safety procedures
