Poggle and Me
Poggle is the mischief maker, maker of fun. Join her as she forms a new friendship on an adventure through the forest; hopping along the honeycomb, rescuing the bees and playing amongst the pine trees. Bursting with energy, acrobatic dance, live music and clapping rhythms with an imaginatively changing world that the children have the chance to explore.
This sensory, inclusive dance-theatre performance is made especially for and with children with complex needs ages 7-15 years. Playfulness within the work creates space for live response between the audience and performers, with its adaptable approach allowing the individuality of each child to be celebrated.
Poggle and Me is designed for a small audience to be able to accommodate and engage young people who experience the most barriers to access.
Created by Barrowland Ballet in partnership with Atta Festival, Turkey. This project is supported by the British Council’s International Collaboration Grant.
