Whiteout performer Kai reflects back on her time at the Fringe 16 /

Whiteout, Barrowland Ballet. Trawway April 2015

This has been the 3rd time that I’ve had the pleasure of taking part in the buzzing Edinburgh Festival Fringe, again getting to soak up the Festival energy, see a variety of performances and wander around the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

What I particularly love about the Fringe is that it attracts people from all over the world. I have the most wonderful memories of meeting people, catching up with friends from Taiwan, and bonding with the Whiteout dance performers: Amarnah, KJ, Merry, Sean, and Vince.

Although we all have very different personalities and life experiences during our time at the Edinburgh Fringe the Whiteout Company live, work and party together. We’ve have such good laughs behind the scenes with funny situations arising in the rehearsals and performances. The Whiteout company has been my support network during the Fringe, we offering each other massages to ease our dancing muscles and sweet treats to reward ourselves. Post show we’ve enjoyed hanging out, seeing shows, and having drinks etc. I can’t wait to share those experiences and memories, which are full of laughter and fun stories, with my friends and family.

Whiteout has had an amazing response at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe so fingers crossed for future performances. Keep an eye out on the Barrowland Ballet website for news on what we get up to next.

Goodbye for now and good luck to all the Whiteout family.
