Poggle

Poggle is the story of Vince, who wants to explore the forest but is too scared, until one day he meets Poggle, a friendly creature. Together they go on an adventure through the forest where they discover the magical musical tree. A warm hearted, sensory dance theatre piece with live music, clapping rhythms and comedy throughout in an imaginatively changing world that the children have the chance to explore.

A Macrobert Arts Centre and Barrowland Ballet co-production.

Nominated for Best Production for Children and Young People and Best Music and Sound at the 2015 CATS awards.

Age 6 months – 5 years

“★★★★★ Disarmingly charming... This is proper magical storytelling, perfect for any pre-school child and even better for their accompanying adult to witness their wonder”

All Edinburgh Theatre

“★★★★ This production for the very young, goes a wonderfully imaginative extra mile in its mix of bouncy dance-theatre, cunningly versatile design, live music and audience participation.”

The Herald

“★★★★★ Perfectly formed dance theatre takes its early years audience to the top of the tree and shows them the view”

The Stage

“★★★★ It's a simple enough tale but its the multi-sensory nature of Gilmore's show that makes it such a winner”

The Times

“★★★★ For pre-schoolers experiencing theatre for the first time (and, crucially, the adults next to them observing their reaction) it’s the perfect way to engage, excite and encourage a return visit”

The List

“★★★★ If you have a little one, they’ll love this. If not, borrow one for an hour and pop along to ‘Poggle’. You’ll love it too”
