Chunky Jewellery Makes International Debut in Poland

Last month, Chunky Jewellery took its first steps onto the international stage, making its overseas premiere at the Open the Door Festival in Katowice, Poland.

Performing to a sold-out audience, the production received a wonderfully warm welcome as Jude Williams and Natasha Gilmore shared their story of two single mothers navigating life, death and everything in-between to audiences beyond Scotland. Alongside the performance, the company also took part in a panel discussion, sharing the creative process behind the work and connecting with artists and festival delegates from across Europe.

This exciting international opportunity follows Chunky Jewellery's successful appearance in the Made in Scotland Showcase at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with support from Creative Scotland and the British Council, helping the production reach new audiences overseas.

The tour continues this September as Chunky Jewellery heads to The Lowry in Salford, with more opportunities for audiences to experience this ‘Relatable and moving - a winning piece of autobiographical dance-theatre.’ ★★★★ (The Times).
